Are my images uploaded to your servers?

No. Imagica is a 100% client-side web application. This means all file processing, resizing, and compression happens locally inside your own computer's browser using WebAssembly. We never see, store, or have access to your private files.

What is the difference between Lossy and Lossless compression?

Smart Lossy selectively removes imperceptible data to drastically reduce file sizes (often by 70-90%), making it perfect for websites. Lossless compression removes unnecessary metadata but keeps the visual image data exactly the same, resulting in smaller file size reductions but preserving perfect quality.

Is there a file size limit?

You can upload files up to 50MB each. If you need to compress massive quantities, you can use our Bulk Mode to queue up to 500 images at once. Because the compression relies on your local device's CPU, processing speeds may vary based on your hardware.
